Sales Manager

Spartan Staffing Solutions has partnered with a dealer in construction equipment rental and sales. Together we are in search of a Sales Manager to lead their team in London, ON area.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Achieve company objectives for sales and profit performance, to include driving top line sales, market share and bottom line profit
  • Provide leadership and talent engagement for each Sales Representative in the market or branch to ensure a positive customer experience, to include building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Monitor, manage and direct supervision of Sales Representatives to include responsibility for selection, hiring, development, training, performance management and new hire procedures
  • Ensure execution on monthly expectations and standards, strategies and action items, to include use of the Customer Relationship Management tool, execution of sales opportunities and safety procedures
  • Manage payroll, productivity and staffing in region or Branch against established performance expectations and objectives
  • Lead bench strength planning in order to achieve and maintain sales growth requirements
  • Ensure execution of all people-related initiatives i.e., training, compensation approvals & fostering positive morale
  • Ensure execution of the performance management process for all Sales Representatives in the market or Branch, to include recognition and disciplinary procedures, up to and including termination of employment
  • Manage and coordinate all requests received from other branches, Office Support Group or Shared Services Group
  • Partner with cross functional partners (Human Resources, Finance, Technology, etc.) to ensure assigned locations are in alignment with the Organization in all process and direction
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Knowledge & Competencies:
  • Excellent time management skills to include prioritization of tasks, communication, execution to meet established deadlines
  • Excellent customer service, communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong leadership and people development skills
  • Strong financial acumen, including capital buying process, cognitive skills, problem analysis, decision making and quantitative analysis
  • Ability to assess customer patterns and adjust labor and branch focus accordingly
  • Thorough knowledge of all systems, procedures, techniques, equipment, operations, standards and reports that apply to the sales process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel

Previous Experience/Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years' experience in roles with increasing responsibility preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience supervising four or more employees preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience leading in a multi-unit work environment preferred
  • Analytical decision making preferred
